Misfits Season 2 premiers November 11th!
They're back. Who's back? The Misfits are back, of course.
99.99% of the people reading this aren't familiar with this series, and for good reason. It is a british TV series that doesn't air in the United States. Trust me when I say the American population is missing out greatly. Additionally, trust me when I say there COULD be a way to watch this series despite your location...
This series is a perfect blend of comedy, drama, action and sci-fi. The premise is that a group of 5 young adults were given community services for various reasons, and while doing their time a meteor storm strikes that gives them supernatural abilities. The catch is that, unlike other shows, these abilities do not immediately obey their owners, and some of them aren't desirable in the least. For example, would you want an ability to that made you so irresistible to ALL of the opposite sex that they you couldn't get them off of you until you slept with them? I think not.
What makes this series work is the great acting, hilarious script, interesting concepts and top notch pacing. The first series is only 6 episodes, but with that brief time each of the characters are expanded enough upon that you are left with a full belly in anticipation for the next season. The plot can be paper thin at times, but this isn't meant to be a Dexter or a Lost. Everything works perfectly to create a unique and addicting experience that will leave you begging for more.
Now, you're probably wondering why I am making this post when the Misfits doesn't air on American soil? Well, NEVER underestimate the power of the internet....
Misfits airs on the C4 Network.
PS: Antonia Thomas is gorgeous.
