Heath Ledger to appear in "The Dark Knight Rises"?

Comicbookmovie.com is reporting that Christopher Nolan has considered the idea of having Heath Ledger's Joker make a cameo in the next Batman film "The Dark Knight Rises" according to a movie insider. Obviously, they would have to use unreleased footage from "The Dark Knight" or some tricky CGI. This is what the movie insider has said:

"The idea is to use these fragments of cut scenes and use CGI to have The Joker appear one last time. Chris wants some continuity between movies and for the franchise to pay tribute to Heath and his portrayal of the Joker. It would only be a fleeting moment in the movie and would only be included with the full consent of Heath's family."

Originally it was said that Nolan had planned to have Ledger in the third film, prior to his death. They did keep some continuity between "Batman Begins" and "The Dark Knight" with the Scarecrow appearing to bridge both films. The film would at least have to mention The Joker, seeing as he terrorized Gotham City to the brink of panic. This could be seen as disrespectful but it has been done in other movies. It would only be a small cameo and one would be surprised, if there will even be any speaking parts. Ledger's family will have final say to this rumor anyways.
