The beauty of hip hop music is that there's something for everyone. You have your lyrically gifted MCs and you have your rappers who can put out club bangers. You have your aggressive hardcore gangster rappers, and then you have your laid back, jazz influenced rappers. Hip hop is beautiful because hip hop is not a one type of "sound"...it's a friggen culture.
Enter Tyga.
Signed to Young Money before Drake, Tyga has been name that is acknowledged, but isn't quite on a star level. With the disastrous release of his first album, "No Introduction", Tyga was thought of as a joke initially, putting out the catchy but silly "Coconut Juice" song and garnering lackluster sales and reviews. However, through the release of well received mixtapes(including a dope collaboration mixtape with Chris Brown which led to the hit song, "Deuces"), Tyga is on his way to making it right the second time around with his next album "Careless World".
but BEFORE that, Tyga has decided to get the buzz going with a fresh new mixtape called "Well Done" which was released today. I've personally been a fan of Tyga, but never was able to put Tyga into a particularly category. Was he a club banger MC or was he a punchline MC? Was he capable of being more of a lyrical MC? Whenever I thought I had Tyga figured out, he surprised me.(for better or for worse)
So here we are with "Well Done". Let's see what Tyga shows us now.
