The Breaker is many ways is your typical shonen manga series. A weak high school boy is bullied at school habitually until a new teacher comes and through a series of even ts decides to take him under his wing and teach him how to fight. The boy soon learns that there is more to his teacher than it seems and is introduced to an underground society he had no idea existed: the world of Murim.
That might sound boring to some, and this manga takes a few chapters to really get going, but once it does The Breaker never stops. What it lacks in conceptual freshness it makes up for with beautiful artwork, bad ass characters, interesting fight styles and supernatural martial arts based abilities. If you do check out this series and find that it ended abruptly, fret not. A second series titled The Breaker: New Waves, continues from where the first series left off....
